Daniel Fisher has lived in the U.S. west and midwest for most of his life, but has resided in Kentucky since the mid-1990s. He has a bachelor of arts in music from Greenville College (Greenville, IL) with an emphasis in classical guitar performance. He also holds a master's in education from Seattle Pacific University and is president of Oakdale Christian Academy.

Daniel has been playing guitar since junior high and has played in numerous bands and as a solo artist. He is one-half of the Distant Houses duo with Michael Alltop and has recorded with session players and members of such notable acts as Jars of Clay, Petra, and Plumb. Distant Houses wrote and recorded the theme song for the film "The 7th Man."
